Young Scientists Competition 2021

December 27 at the National Library of the Kyrgyz Republic named after Osmonov, the award ceremony of the III International Competition for Young Scientists for the Prize named after A. prof. J. Musaeva for the best research work on the current trends in the development of the economy of Central Asia in the future.

The competition was held by the Center for Scientific Research "Development" together with the Institute of Economics of the National Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Ala-Too International University from June to December 2021. The competition was attended by students and graduate students of various universities in the country, including KNU, KRSU, KGUSTA, KEU , The National Center for Cardiology and Therapy, the KEYIN International Institute, etc. The topics of the submitted works for the competition were varied and covered the following areas: digitalization, green economy and environmental pollution, electricity, social development, trade and economic development of partner countries, sectoral development, financial sector and banking system, employment and migration, public administration and sustainable development.

During the official part of the event, the competent members of the selection committee of the competition gave a general description of the submitted works, discussed their strengths and weaknesses, and gave comments on improving research for the future. Participants of the competition also had the opportunity to discuss their work individually and receive useful targeted comments during its unofficial part.

Prize-winning places were taken by the following participants:

The work of Aziret Zhanybekov get a prize of 50,000 soms, a student of the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University named after V.I. B. Yeltsin, on the topic "Research of the impact of the digital economy on the countries of Central Asia";

A 2nd degree diploma and a prize of 25,000 soms was awarded to the work of Talant Sariev, a student of the KEYIN International Institute, on the topic "Prospects for the development of the electric power industry in Central Asia";

The work of Ayzhamal Tabishova get a prize of 10,000 soms, postgraduate student of the National Center for Cardiology and Therapy named after A.I. Academician M. Mirrakhimov, on the topic "Clinical characteristics, treatment patterns and the economic burden of Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) in Kyrgyzstan: the FRESH AIR study."

A special diploma was awarded to the work of Nurlan Chanachev, postgraduate student of the Kyrgyz Economic University named after S. M. Ryskulbekova, on the topic "Social problems in the Kyrgyz Republic: causes, consequences and ways to overcome it."

The best works will be published free of charge in the scientific journal Alatoo Academic Studies, which is included in the List of peer-reviewed periodicals recommended by the Higher Attestation Commission of the Kyrgyz Republic (HAC KR) (Order No. 2 dated February 12, 2008).

The rest of the participants of the competition, whose works passed the initial screening for plagiarism, but were not awarded prizes, were awarded with diplomas of the participants, as well as souvenirs from the organizers of the competition. The next IV International Competition for Young Scientists for the Prize named after prof. J. Musaeva will be held in 2023.
